Privacy Policy
Plain-English version. We'd rather you actually read this than scroll past a wall of legalese.
Effective date: June 2026
Who we are
PeopleiKnow (“PeopleiKnow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal relationship management application currently in development and beta testing. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can reach us any time at contact@peopleiknow.ai.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, which may include:
- Account details — such as your name and email address when you request access or create an account.
- Contact records — the people you choose to add and the details you store about them.
- Notes, reminders, and interaction history — the context you save to help you stay in touch.
- Communications with us — emails and beta feedback you send to us.
We aim to collect only what's needed to provide and improve the features you use.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the PeopleiKnow service.
- Deliver the relationship features you ask for, like notes and reminders.
- Respond to your requests, questions, and beta feedback.
- Protect the service, our users, and the integrity of your data.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google account and Google API data
If you choose to connect Google services, PeopleiKnow may access only the Google data you explicitly authorize through Google's consent screen. We request the minimum permissions necessary to provide the features you've enabled — consistent with Google's least-privilege guidance.
Google-sourced data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features you request within the app. We do not sell Google user data, we do not transfer it for advertising, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the functionality you asked for.
PeopleiKnow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can review or revoke PeopleiKnow's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data or Google user data. We may share information with infrastructure and service providers strictly as needed to operate the service (for example, hosting and database providers), and only under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your associated data, except where we're required to retain it for legal or legitimate operational reasons.
Data security
We use modern security practices to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and continually improve our practices as the product matures. See our Security page for more.
Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- Access and update the information in your account.
- Disconnect any connected Google services.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing contact@peopleiknow.ai.
Beta disclaimer
PeopleiKnow is in active development and beta testing. Features and data practices may evolve as the product matures, and we may update this policy to reflect those changes. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
